Burp Intruder is a tool that was created to automate attack types against web applications. The sniper attack type allows for testers to conduct brute force attacks.  By defining a parameter of interest it is possible to use the Intruder feature to automate the submission of multiple different values and analyse the output. This may be used for brute forcing user accounts, identifying web pages that exist, or submitting malicious payloads to observe the response among many other actions.
